As women in technology we are called to lead—and others rely on us to do so—in countless ways. And, we believe that diversity and inclusion in business means little if the same does not apply throughout our society and through our democratic processes.

According to the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, North Carolina receives a “D” for women’s political participation in the state:

North Carolina is ranked 24th out of 50 for both voter registration and turnout, only roughly 50% of women vote in our state.  

North Carolina ranks 43rd in terms of women in elected office index.
